Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Hi, currently, the file preview is accessible through Right-click on file -> Actions -> Preview File It would be nice, if you can configure a shortcut to do so, or configure the middleclick of the mouse to show the preview. It's quite annoying to go through the Right-click mode. Thanks
I totally agree with Christoph! As a keyboardist it's really annoying to be forced to use the mouse to get a preview. Plus, i like to keep the preview plasmoid on the desktop to save some space on my really crowded panel. Plus, drag 'n' drop on the panel doesn't work well if i keep my plasmoids unlocked. The shortcut was there up to (I think) kde 4.2 beta 2. I read Peter Penz removed it because he saw no point in having a shortcut for this. It would be really nice to see this feature reappear for 4.2.1

I noticed now that the bug has been marked as a duplicate... Actually, the two bugs are about different things... The other one complains about not having a default shortcut for enabling the thumbnails (as you can do with the toolbar button), while this is about an old option that was introduced and quickly removed, that allowed showing an extended and interactive preview of the file through the previewer plasmoid. I found very useful, but many people never even had the opportunity to see this feature.
