Version:           KDE 4.1.87 (KDE 4.2 >= 20090101) (using Devel)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled sources

Some short files are not being played properly - this includes cutting off end or nothing being heard at all.

I'm using phonon with xine engine, however amarok 2.x is able to play same files without problems.

I'll atach a sample that is not being played at all on my system via notifications (works via amarok 2.x).

Bug is reproducible by testing playback via notifications config module or waiting for specifiic event to occur.
