Description Mohd Asif Ali Rizwaan 2009-01-02 04:51:26 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.1.85 (KDE 4.1.85 (KDE 4.2 Beta2)), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-11-generic

Just like kwin's - window-specific settings, fonts/colors should also have 'application' specific custom settings.

reason is to save/gain fonts/color settings. e.g., ktorrent, an application, which throws a lot of information at the user, and the font sizes makes it impossible to view the multiple-column text because of the "big fonts" we use generally for all applications where such huge information is not shown/required.

another, example, kick-off/lancelot or any Launch menu, would require somewhat big text which is better visibile, but we don't need "Menu bars" and submenus of normal applications to have such "huge text" making them in-your-face menus.

please consider, an "advanced" tab/button in fonts/color section for more accessibility. thank you :)

This isn't easily technically possible, and if it was, I don't think it would be something we're interested in doing. We're moving in the direction making everything more internally consistent, not less. :) Bugs in apps that make views hard to parse and read should ideally be fixed with changes in those apps themselves.
