Version: (using Devel) Compiler: gcc 4.3.1 OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources When searching (Ctrl-F) in .chm files, Okular gives weird results, in particular the result is either: 1)the word is found but the word is not highlighted, whereas some empty area (with no text) is highlighted or 2)there is no word matching search, but some area is anyway highlighted with yellow.
Created attachment 29790 [details] okular .chm screenshot Here "/dev/null" is searched for. You can see where "/dev/null" is really and what area is highlighted.

Can you please attach the chm file you used to report this bug?
It is a pirate (?) copy of "LPI Linux Certification in a Nutshell". And the copy from the torrent I have found is hardly correct. Same symptoms as for the reporter. The search works fine in other random CHM files. Is it worth to investigate this file further?
