Version: KDE: 4.1.86 (KDE 4.1.86 (KDE 4.2 >= 20081221)) (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources 1) Can the icon in the notification "sub-icon" inside the systemtray (actually a computer/laptop) be replaced for something like the "preferences-desktop-notification" Oxygen icon? (it can also be a new specific icon) Maybe for 4.3 an animation can be implemented So when there are still active jobs (or/and the notifications are hidden), the "notification icon" may be animated to illustrate that "something is still happening inside him"(?). When all the jobs are finished the icon can return to its normal non-animated version. 2) Actually, the KIO Jobs extenders have an "unknown icon". Can they have a "save-all" Oxygen icon (or another icon that illustrate the file operations) ? (I don't know if this is inside the plasma scope or in KIO/Jobs/Notify scope)
Here using: Qt: 4.4.3 + qt-copy-patches-910240 KDE: 4.2.60 (KDE 4.2.60 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090116)) kdelibs svn rev. 915739 / kdebase svn rev. 915763 on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.28.1 Updating: Point 1 seems to be done (Now it is using an help-info button) Point 2 seems to be done too (The extender icon of KIO operations are now the same as Dolphin icon) So, I only have this valid points: Animated icon when there are active file operations I add a new request: A tooltip for the notification-icon in the SystemTray (another user already mentioned this): It will be useful having a tooltip saying something like "X active operations " / "X active operations || Y finished operations" / "Y finished operations" So all this things are useful when you want to know if there are still non-finished file-operations without having to display the extenders...
Can this be back-ported to the 4.2 branch before RC2?
@Per; KDE4.2 was already tagged for release, so that's no possible.
Great, all the ideas were implemented. Thanks Plasma team. Good work :D
