Description rocall01 2008-12-28 02:33:13 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.2)
Compiler: Don't Know, installed from KDE 4.1.2 packages
OS: OS X
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

Installed Kolourpaint in the KDE 4.1.2 Mac packages

macbook 1.83G Intel Core Duo 1GB ram Intel GMA 950 Graphics running leopard 10.5.5

When Kolourpaint starts the picture canvas is grayed out the same as the background colour all that appears are the drag handles which surround the canvas.

The rest of the window (the menus etc) are rendered correctly.

when trying to draw or use the fill function the canvas flickers showing the transparent checkered pattern and leaves marks and artifacts where there should be a line etc then the canvas appears black.

It also only draws in black and white and a saved file opens in another image viewer the same as it appeared in Kolourpaint with the exception of text which appears clearly and in the correct colour in an opened file. This can be seen in the print screen.

I initially raised this issue in the KDE mac forum ( http://forum.kde.org/kolourpaint-t-20779.html ) and was referred to here! "illogical" built from source with the same result!

A print screen can be seen at: http://picasaweb.google.com/ok1979quick/KolourpaintOnOSX281220080041?pli=1#5284641250866518546

Could you test the latest trunk version of kolourpaint, please ?
I have changed something wrt. to painting, so probably this got already fixed.
You'd need to compile from source, though.
