Version:           4.1.3 (using KDE 4.1.3)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

I get a missing File/Main tool bar if I do the following:
- open konqueror
- go into full screen mode
- quit konqueror 
- (log out/relog)
- open konqueror again.
The problem is  that konqueror opens in the same way as it was still in fullscreen in a normal window mode.

Cannot reproduce using trunk r902024.

Could you update to KDE 4.2 beta 2 ?

Yup, ok try this:
1. open konqueror in full screen
2. ALT+F2 open konqueror again
3. Close both instances of konqueror 
4. ALT+F2 Open konqueror again
No more File tab.

I have a similar problem, so I decided to try this one out. But I cannot repeat it using 4.2.00 kubuntu packages...

Now, that the menu state is correctly remembered. I'm able to reproduce this.

Probably the menu state shouldn't be saved when going in fullscreen mode.
