The separate "Compress" menu in Dolphin is rarely used and therefore clutters the menu. I suggest that it be moved under "Actions". Furthermore, I suggest that there only be one Compress option, which the user could set as his preference (zip / tar/ etc). For other compression needs the user could use a full-blown GUI application.

I feel that I am authorized to state this as I have asked 8 KDE 3 users one by one which of the Context Menu items that they use. _None_ of them use the Compress menu.

I use the compress context-menu option, and I agree that it should be a sub-menu item, but for I'd state my reasons differently -- it's not one of the most common actions; it clutters the context menu; and its an action
