Description Johann MacDonagh 2008-12-26 09:30:25 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

Running Kubuntu KDE 4.2 Beta 2 packages. I have my mouse acceleration set to 4.7x, and every time I come back from sleep mode the mouse acceleration is reset back to 2.0x. If I head into the Mouse settings it shows it as 4.7x. I have to bring it down to 4.6x, then back to 4.7x, and then click Apply before the mouse acceleration is set back to what I had.

I can confirm this. I'm using Kubuntu neon nightly builds (as I'm writing 20090121-svn914665) and this annoying bug is still present.

I'm using 7.0 pointer acceleration (because 2.0 pointer acceleration seems not to be enough for my 1920x1200 screen resolution) and after returning from sleep mode, I have to change the value to 7.1 then to apply settings.

I can confirm in KDE 4.9.1. "kcminit mouse" has to be manually ran after resuming from sleep.
Comment 3 Péter Sümegi 2015-05-27 04:50:42 UTC
I can confirm this. I am using Kubunru 15.04, KDE version 5.9.0, Plasma version 5.2.2
Comment 4 Justin Zobel 2020-11-12 05:30:40 UTC
The mouse acceleration settings seem to be now removed in favour of Flat/Adaptive mouse acceleration only.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I'm setting status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.
