Version: (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources If you select to show the bookmark bar on my Konqueror (using KDE 4.1.85), it shows up only a little grey bar, that disappear after closing and reopening it. Even if i select in the bookmarks menu, which folder is the "bookmark folder" nothing changes. Sorry for my english.
Cannot reproduce using trunk r900106.
Maybe the reason is that you don't have any bookmarks stored? I would guess that it works fine if you add a bookmark to some page.
No, it doesn't work. This is with bookmark bar disabled: http://www.iouppo.com/pics1/3c776d5c307544fae74d1912da782b82.png This is with bookmark bar enabled: http://www.iouppo.com/pics1/dade4308b5264bd58fe159175c07f52b.png
I still have the same problem here with KDE4.2 RC
Emanuele, Is your problem fixed? Do you still experience the problem of showing the bookmarks toolbar? If so, what is your Konqueror version and can you upload a screenshot? I ask this because I can not have Konqueror 4.7.0 show the bookmarks toolbar in my user account. regards, Gérard
Sorry I can't confirm this, I'm Gnome right now.
*********************************** This is in case someone visit this bug report wondering how to display the bookmarks toolbar in Konqueror. *********************************** Make sure you have Configuration/Configure Konqueror.../Internet Navigation section/Configure Navigator behavior/Bookmarks/ and here there is a checkbox which says "Only display bookmarks present in the bookmarks toolbar" and here such checkbox should be UNCHECKED!! ... which, in my opinion, seems contradictory... I spent 3 whole weeks and some 30 posts in a KDE forum trying to figure out why I could not display the bookmarks toolbar. Konqueror Manual, Navigation web section help:/kcontrol/khtml-behavior/index.html should be updated, in my opinion. Gérard
