Description Viesturs Zarins 2008-12-21 16:05:55 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

The current subtitle feature has little use with the default small font size.

Please make the subtitle font size adjustable. A slider in the video settings panel would suffice.

This is not blocked by Bug 300967 anymore.
I think it belongs to basic functions of a video player. The simplest solution could be a number of fixed values (100%, 125%...) in "Settings"/"Subtitles". The alternative route: make subtitles adjustable by adding "Subtitles" to Plasma's "System Settings"/"Fonts" or add a new "Subtitles" tab in "System Settings"/"Accessibility", similar to how it is done in Windows 10 (Windows "Movies and TV" app adjust subtitles using OS-wide "Settings"/"Ease of Access"/"Closed captions").
