Description Jorge 2008-12-21 14:24:09 UTC
Version: 0.99.01 (using KDE 4.1.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Since upgrading to KDE 4 I have not been able to read authenticated newsgroups. When I list the groups of the news server only groups that do not need authentication are shown.
Furthermore in an installation I upgraded, where I am already registered to a couple of authenticated newsgroups I get the following error every time I try to read them:

Error interno
Por favor, envíe un informe de fallos completo en http://bugs.kde.org
Respuesta inesperada del servidor a la orden GROUP:
502 Permission denied

In english this is something like:
Internal error
Please send a complete error report to http://bugs.kde.org
Unexpected answer from server to the command GROUP:
502 Permission denied

If you need I can provide network dumps of the communication between knode and the server.

It's indeed a regression from KDE3, it is already fixed and will be available as of KDE 4.2
