Description g111 2008-12-20 22:38:27 UTC
Version:            (using Devel)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled sources

I do not know if this really is plasma related or perhaps regards something different (kwin?)

If you are using the plastique style, open krunner and start typing, krunner's text field background turns black sometimes, so you cannot see the typed black text inside of it.

E.g. slowly type "kon" into the text field:
"k" => black.
"o" => ok
"n" => black

I confirm this bug, not only in KRunner, but also in the adress bar of Konqueror and Dolphin.

This bug invalidates the workaround of Launchpad's bug #338669 consisting in replacing Oxygene theme by Plastique theme:

I can't reproduce that with the plastique style in 4.2.3 or 4.3beta1. Can you provide some more detailed information on your setting like:
-KDE version (or build number for devel)
-graphics card
-driver version
-qt version

Thanks in advance.

KDE 4.2.87 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090519)
I cannot reproduce this bug anymore in todays KDE/trunk. So I think this report can be marked as fixed?

Grasyop, what do you think?

Meanwhile, I changed for QtCurve style. But I just tried again Plastique, and, at first view, it seems all right now.

So I think you can mark it as fixed.
