IMHO a No Go by default! 3) also the spam status needs a line. IMHO it can be place to a better position. 4) another useless information in this layout. Multipart or not it's not important for a user.. He search the attachment file and nothing else. Please give kmail a more simple layout by default!

Many of those items are already separate bug reports, but I can't be bothered to find them now :)
ad 1) the color schema is the one KDE4 uses also for tooltips; regarding the information shown ... this lies in the eye of the beholder ... ad 2) The HTML status bar is not shown by default in KDE 4.3 ad 3 ) the spam status is shown by default in 4.3, but it depends on the mail you get if it is shown at all. ad 4) the message structure tree is also not shown by default in 4.3 So what is left is the wish point 3 - make the spam status not use a separate line.
