Version: (using KDE 4.1.3) Installed from: Debian stable Packages (Disclaimer: I don't have any *real* printer, so I only have file (PDF and PS) output options) In any application that can print (Kate, Okteta) when the "print" dialog opens, I cannot manually edit the filename text field. The "..." button that opens the file dialog works, however. If I change output type to "Print to File (PostScript)" then the text field becomes directly editable. If I change output type back to "Print to File (PDF)", then the text field is directly editable, as I expected from the start. Problem appears in 4.1.3, I haven't the means to check in svn. Thanks for a fix (although this is ultra-minor) Romain ps: I see the same problem with Qt4 Designer, does that make it a Qt-only problem ?
The print dialog comes from Qt, so there's nothing we can fix outselves. Please report the problem to qt-bugs@trolltech.com
This was a known issue in Qt 4.4.0 that was fixed in 4.4.1, but there is some indication it returned in 4.4.2 or 4.4.3. Can you confirm what version you have and upgrade if needed?
It happens both with qt-copy and 4.4.4 from openSUSE.
Raised in Qt Task Tracker, awaiting response. See also http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=176613 where the dialog crashes before even getting this far.
I just added the task to the task tracker of Qt (#238591): http://trolltech.com/developer/task-tracker/index_html?id=238591
Thank you all for responding so quickly. Regards, Romain
Closed in Qt tracker with release set as 4.5.0. Do we need to wait to verify, or can we close as UPSTREAM?
