Description msnkipa 2008-12-11 20:28:32 UTC
Version: 4.1.85 (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

New "copy windows" that are docked in system tray has got at least 2 bugs:

1) Pause and stop buttons has no effect (If I correctly understand that in the top rigth corner are two/one buttons)

2) When the next docked window opens all previous become black. They have realy bad appearence! I can`t read anything in it. When I have two or moreparralel copying processes only one window at a time could have normal appearence, all others are black.

PS and I misunderstand how can I remove old windows (with finished downloads) forever. I can drag it to the desktop and force it to be a plasmoid, and than close it (but sometimes its appears again in tray dock). But when I begin newdownload/copy this old window appears again.

also docking this windows crashes plasma. At the first window movement.

in future, please provide backtraces for crashes:

http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

this crash is fixed in trunk, already.

the look of them is being worked on (and there's another BR for tracking that one.. somewhere)

the pause/stop buttons do work on the plasma side (i just tested)

so, 2/3 issues fixed with the third a known issue being worked on.

I`m very sorry, but in 4.1.85 stop/pause button`s doesn`t work. What do I do incorrect, and what I should to do for this buttons begin to work?

now I can`t confirm that problems with buttons resolved.

about crashes see bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=177435, there is backtrace. I have done compilation from trunk yesterday 2008-12-11 at 17-00 UTC... Have crash resolution been coomited before that time or not?

There is definitely an issue with the layout of this dialog, I get truncated texts everywhere.
I'll make a screenshot if I still get this issue after today's svn update.

@David: yes, we are still working on the layout of the widget there. truncation issues are known.

@msnkipa: that's a theming problem. what Plasma theme are you using?
Comment 8 msnkipa 2008-12-12 17:28:19 UTC
How can I understand what theme of plasma I`m use? I`m new to plasma, and don`t know about plasma themes very much. Explain me please.
Comment 9 msnkipa 2008-12-12 18:29:23 UTC
Hi as far as I understand I use Oxygen theme. At least "kcmshell4 desktopthemedetails" show such information for me.
Comment 10 Aaron J. Seigo 2008-12-12 18:47:32 UTC
looking at your panel, i guarantee you are not using the oxygen theme =)

open the desktop toolbox (top right corner) and select "Appearance Settings". you can see the selected theme there.

(the kcmshell is really just for theme customization)

Hi thank you very much for explonation!

So I use Aya theme.
Comment 12 msnkipa 2008-12-14 21:02:13 UTC
The appearence of the windows was fixed as it was a general plasma bug, not konqueror. This was fixed in recent svn (9 pm UTC 2008-12-14).

But! Stop and Pause buttons don`t works!
Aaron J. Seigo if it works on your machine, explain me what I are to do to get the same result?

I can confirm that the "stop" and "pause" buttons do not work. Tested on openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.1.87.
