Description Harm van Bakel 2008-12-08 19:16:48 UTC
Version:           1.10.90 (using Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources

Kmail does not automatically bring new messages in view when they are downloaded, instead manually scrolling is needed to see the new mails. The old behavior was to show new mails in the messages window as they came in. I am using the 'flat date view' sorted by date/time with 'most recent on top'.

Please check again with a more recent version, this bug has been fixed last week.

Sorry for the noise, this bug has nothing to do with bug 176104.

This is a duplicate of 143240

@Comment 5.
Very related, but not exactly the same. bug 143240 says that when the view is sorted as bottom the newest, the view is not updated. This is with the view sorted as top the newest.

But with the new mail view, both should be solved at the same time.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
