Description Joe Biden 2008-12-05 22:56:07 UTC
Version: 1.10.90 (using 4.1.80 (KDE 4.1.80 (KDE 4.2 Beta1)), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-4-generic

Just doesn't seem to work correctly. Perhaps I am missing some config, but clicking on the subject should "just work". Worked in 4.1.3, so it's not against how it's worked before.

It works for me in current trunk.

Please check that you have selected in the aggregation mode (the fourth little button at the right of the search) the Current Activity , Threaded option to have them threaded.

Hm, basically I can confirm that issue, using 1.11.1. Clicking on the column headers only has an effect if aggregation is turned of. So I see to possible ways to solve this:
1. If Aggregation is turned on, clicking on the header changes the aggregation mode accordingly.
2. If aggregation is turned on, clicking on the header is turned off, meaning that there is no visual feedback about it in the header itself (currently a black little arrow is shown).
I would prefer solution 1, as it would meet the users expectations (a lot of programs allow changing sort order that way).
I changed the bug subject to a better descritption of the issue.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
