Description doc.evans 2008-12-05 17:06:52 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

If one adds an event, then the last step is that one is offered a choice of calendars to which the event should be added.

One of the calendars is pre-selected. If one wants this calendar, then one clicks OK.

If one wants a different calendar, the mere act of selecting it also commits the change to that calendar (i.e., it is no longer necessary -- or even possible -- to click the "OK" button).

This behaviour is different from KDE3, and different from typical dialogue boxes: instead of the current behaviour, one should select a calendar and then press OK. Having mere selection of a calendar also commit the change is very disconcerting.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
