I am confirming the same bug. I am running Mandriva 2009.0 free. Just after turning on the computer, and logging into KDE 4.1.3. Using Portuguese Language or English Language. Monitor CRT at 1024x768 (85hz). If I click on Desktop Icon on the desktop the system ( not Always) freezes completely. Sometimes I need just 1 click to computer to freeze, sometimes, I need to edit or move one file just a bit, or when I edit the widgets properties. No keyboard or mouse response. I need to reset and reboot the computer. I tried to attach the backtrace you requested, however I could not. ( I could not find/install kde-base (4.1.3) -debug packages.) I will try to attach more information later.
@Francesco: any update on this one? does it happen when you right click on any icon in the folderview, or just specific ones? what does the text label at the top of the folderview say? have you managed to get a full backtrace as per the instructions in comment #2?
@Aaron: With the last update this problem has been fixed. However, it happened when i right-click on any icon in desktop plasmoid.
