Version: (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources When I try to send a mail with any attachment, I obtain a dialog with the following text: Sending failed: Writing to socket failed. The message will stay in the 'outbox' folder until you either fix the problem (e.g. a broken address) or remove the message from the 'outbox' folder. The following transport was used: XYZ Sending without attachments works. The problem appeared during the last week (I do quite daily build with kdesvn-build)
This bug was introduced by change 888163. I have a patch to fix it, but I need to test it some more.

Errror reappears with version 4.1.81-3.3 Probably reopen case?
Which SVN commit is that?
Downloaded from OpenSuse Repository URL: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/UNSTABLE:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.0/ Current version of kmail is 4.1.82-1.3, still not working with attachments, writing to socket fails. Hope you're satisfied, Thiago.
No, I'm not. I need to know the specific SVN revision that was built. Unless you can tell me that, I'll have to assume that it was built before the fix was applied.
As I said, I get the rpm's from the OpenSuse repository. If you can tell me where to find on my system the information you need, I'll do my best, but maybe you'll have to ask dmueller@suse.de.
Dirk probably is the only one who knows. I have checked some changelogs and it seems that is a 4.1.82 from 4th of December. The policy is one upstream per week. Alin
