Version: (using KDE 4.1.3) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages I don't know if this is a bug or a wishlist request (i.e., I can't tell whether the current behaviour is intentional). If I assign a photograph from my kontact address book to a kopete contact, that photo doesn't seem to be actually used anywhere by kopete. It seems like at a minimum it should be used as a buddy icon if that contact has not set an icon of his own.
If you assign a photo not from your addressbook, does it work properly?
If I try to assign a photo from another source, it gives me a choice of my own avatars (!). But if I am so silly as to assign one of my own avatars to a contact, then yes, that photo is displayed correctly.
