Does Dragon Player play those mp3 files?
And which version are you using exactly? The RC or current SVN?
Comment 2 Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2008-11-28 15:57:07 UTC
Dragon Player doesn't show mp3 files in supported files. I'm using from opensuse unstable repository which is mostly svn. In about I see 1.98 only it doesn't tell if its rc or svn.
Comment 3 Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2008-11-28 15:58:53 UTC
It seems something wrong with xine, I can't play using xine engine in amarok 1.4 also.
Comment 4 Lydia Pintscher 2008-11-28 16:03:23 UTC
Ok this is pretty clearly not an Amarok problem then.
Please refer to your distribution about how to get mp3 support for xine.
Comment 5 Seb Ruiz 2008-11-29 01:56:45 UTC
This is clearly a support issue, not a bug! In the future please use irc or the forum. You need to install the libxine-ffmpeg package (or similar)
Comment 6 Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2008-11-29 05:35:29 UTC
I'll keep that in mind.

@Abel: Thanks for posting the backtrace but this bug is related to mp3 playback issue which is already resolved as downstream. Please file separate bug for crash.
