When using another keyboard layout for a language in Parley it does not get reset to the system keyboard layout when closing Parley.

I think I experience the same problem so I will put more details.

Problem: with layouts switching policy "Application" (and might be others) KDE saves the layout selected for the application even when it's closed. The result is when it is opened the next time, you have the saved layout enabled, not the default one.

Use case: I am using kopete every day, closing it down in the evening. As I type mostly in Russian, it is usually the default layout when I close it. When start a new kopete next morning the layout is still Russian, and as the first thing it does is ask for password, I usually type it wrong.

Expected behavior: any started application should have default layout enabled.

Thanks.
