Description Carsten Schlipf 2008-11-26 17:30:45 UTC
Version: 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3) (using 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-7-generic

I try to achieve a similar arrangement of the konqueror toolbar as firefox: All buttons and location bar on a single toolbar.

However after restart, the location bar is moved back to the location bar and removed from the main tool bar.

How to reproduce:
-> Edit the toolbars
-> Remove the location bar from the Location toolbar
-> Add the location bar to the main toolbar
-> Save the arrangement
-> Hide the location toolbar. The location bar should be visible on the main toolbar now.
-> Restart konqueror
-> location bar is gone from the main toolbar and back on the location bar.

This is a known issue that can not be fixed before KDE 5. Currently, any manipulation you do to the toolbar through the toolbar editor will likely not surive a restart. The only way you can workaround this issue right now is to manually modify the menu configuration file, namely konqueror.rc.

Having said that the main toolbar of Konqueror in the most recent releases of KDE is by default exactly like what you wanted to achieve here.
