Version:            (using KDE 4.1.2)

Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

I configured an external editor (emacsclient), but the setting gets lost immediately. Also the conffile has no entry, BUT sets a flag:

% grep Editor ~/.kde/share/config/knoderc
externalEditor=
useExternalEditor=true
