In KDE3, clicking on the Properties for an MP3 file allowed one to view several useful things about the file (title, duration, etc.).

It would be very nice to have this capability in KDE4. At the very least the title from the ID3 tag should be easily made available to the user.

Actually, this is a more general issue - the "meta info" is simply missing for any file type, not only mp3, at the moment :-(
