Version: (using KDE 4.1.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Not sure if this is a bug or a wish: I was wondering why there is no shortcut in akregator for "Open in background Tab" even though the functionality exists (right-click on link and then it's there). It would be really nice to have such a link (say I go through all new messages and open all of them in a background tab, then browse through the tabs later). My akregator version is 1.3.1 (KDE 4.1.2).
I think I was wrong: the functionality "Open in background tab" is not in the right-click menu but it does exist in the "Configure" --> "Browser" tab.
Moved to Wishlist of Akregator

Jordi, thanks for moving this to wishlist, but the duplicate must be an error.
Missing a shortcut for background tab opening makes akregator almost unusable.

I confirm that as of Akregator 5.16.3 (20.12.3) there are default shortcuts to: - Open in a new tab (Shift+Enter) - Open in a new background tab (Enter) - Open in an external browser (Ctrl+Shift+Enter)
