Description Roland Wolters 2008-11-17 16:54:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

In Kontact (organizer, address book) groupdav sources are not reloaded. However, since the Groupdav protocol does not define a way to push changes, the client must have a mechanism to pull for changes.

One way for the user is to de- and reactivate the Groupdav source so that changes are pulled. Another way is a time based pulling. Theoretically, there is a time based pulling at least in the organizer, but that didn't work in tests.

We settled for a hack to ask the refresh button to also reload the sources. This way the user can also manually trigger a reload when he/she gets called that there is a new appointment and that he/she should have a look at it.

caldav/carddav entries are now correctly reloaded thanks to the groupdav Akonadi resource.
