Version: (using KDE 4.1.3) panel context menu: fix the order of the items unlocked mode. Currently the order is a bit inconsistent since both "delete" actions are separated, one is completely standalone, while the other is mixed with settings and adding. Order of adding and deleting is also reversed. My suggestion -- since in lock mode, unlock is the last option keep it as last. And as now, keep unlock close to panel settings. Take a look: task manager settings panel settings --------------------- add widgets add panel remove this task manager remove this panel ---------------------- lock widgets Note of the advantages: when user chooses "lock widgets" if feels more natural because all items "inside" boundaries of task-manager-settings and lock-widgets context menu are gone. Order is preserved -- it is always from details to general object.
In KDE 4.4 (maybe 4.3, not sure) all options not pertaining to the applet itself are in a submenu (add widgets, add panel, panel settings, etc)
No, the issue is not fixed in KDE 4.4! The order is still wrong, even if the non-applet options are in a sub menu. Move that submenu to the end of the list to resolve this issue. Thanks.
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
