Description Silver Salonen 2008-11-14 09:02:29 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.1.3)
Compiler: gcc version 4.2.1 20070719 [FreeBSD]
OS:                FreeBSD
Installed from:    FreeBSD Ports

When I open Konqueror (from commandline) and choose "Settings -> Configure Konqueror" from menu, the following error is thrown into terminal 3 times:
=====
QStringList Solid::Backends::Hal::HalManager::findDeviceByDeviceInterface(const Solid::DeviceInterface::Type&)  error:  "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Disconnected"
=====

The same error appears while importing a certificate in Crypto section (that doesn't work anyway, but I think it's another issue).

Do you have HAL installed on your system? That'd actually explain the message you see, in such case it's harmless. Hence why I'm closing as INVALID.

Feel free to reopen if you experience this with the HAL daemon up and running.

I have these processes running concerning HAL:
=====
$ ps aux|grep hal
haldaemon  1582  0.0  0.2 72216  2584  ??  Ss   21Oct08  40:07.28 /usr/local/sbin/hald
root       1597  0.0  0.1  5712  1020  ??  I    21Oct08   0:00.33 hald-runner
root       1608  0.0  0.1  5524  1156  ??  S    21Oct08  36:16.67 hald-addon-mouse-sysmouse: /dev/ums0 (hald-addon-mouse-sy)
=====

Sorry, I'm not experiencing the same thing. Reassigning to [ade] our minority operating systems overlord to investigate.
Comment 4 Alex Fiestas 2013-03-03 15:07:52 UTC
Is anyone able to reproduce this?

Alberto?

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try again with the latest version and submit a new bug to frameworks-solid if your issue persists. Thank you!
