Description wyldrodney 2008-11-13 13:56:56 UTC
Version: 1.94 (using 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.26-1-amd64

When I click right mouse button near applet's left or right border, it shows menu with copy and select all elements. It has wrong position: part of menu is invisible.
Comment 1 Lydia Pintscher 2008-11-13 14:41:17 UTC
Can you explain a little better please and make a screenshot?

works fine here. closing, as there have been a lot of changes in svn and the last confirmations are quite old. but if you can still reproduce it, please re-open.
Comment 8 Mark Kretschmann 2009-04-16 17:25:57 UTC
Yep, I can still reproduce this issue with the Lyrics applet, using KDE 4.2.2.

Screenshot looks just like the old one attached here, so I probably won't have to make a new one.
Comment 9 Leo Franchi 2009-04-16 17:35:04 UTC
maybe it's fixed in kde svn, i'm using trunk. we'll see if others can weigh in on either side
Comment 10 Mikko C. 2009-04-20 14:11:16 UTC
I can still see this with Amarok trunk and kde trunk, just updated.
Comment 11 Cyril Brosch 2009-05-21 14:08:20 UTC
The problem remains in Beta2.
But it concerns only the edit menue ("copy/copy link address/select all") - when there are multiple links to select from, the context menue (containing "Lyrics settings/remove this Lyrics") is shown in normal manner.

Comment 13 Myriam Schweingruber 2009-08-02 13:10:39 UTC
I can't reproduce this with current 2.2-git, using KDE 4.2.98. Anyone?
Comment 14 Mikko C. 2009-08-02 13:13:34 UTC
I can reproduce it every time with 2.2-git
Comment 15 Cyril Brosch 2009-08-02 19:28:37 UTC
I confirm for RC3.
Comment 16 Modestas Vainius 2009-08-31 00:40:54 UTC
Looks like fixed in current 2.2-git soon-to-be 2.2 beta, isn't it?
Comment 17 Mark Kretschmann 2009-08-31 02:07:25 UTC
This (rather minor) problem still exists with latest Amarok 2.2-GIT and KDE 4.3.0. But we really have bigger fish to fry right now ;)
Comment 18 Mikko C. 2009-09-04 12:05:51 UTC
I've just noticed that it doesn't happen only with the playlist but also with the Wikipedia applet: http://i25.tinypic.com/2yv8l5t.png
This bug doesn't happen on the wikipedia applet...
Comment 19 Myriam Schweingruber 2009-11-16 13:39:55 UTC
Any news on this?
Comment 20 Rick W. Chen 2010-01-06 03:21:09 UTC
This looks like the same as BUG:207956 [1], which is fixed by commit 1067048 [2] in kde svn.

Comment 21 Mikko C. 2010-01-06 09:01:38 UTC
unfortunately I'm using kde trunk from Jan 4th + amarok git master, and the bug still happens.
Comment 22 Rick W. Chen 2010-01-06 10:35:25 UTC
Bugger.

Just for the record, this behaviour also happens in the video applet,
specifically the right click context menu of the thumbnails.

video applet context menu clip

pole dance wtf
Comment 24 Leo Franchi 2010-05-04 04:22:50 UTC
yes this happens with all the QGPW that we are using. using the workaround from bug 207956 doesn't work here, but not sure why.

Lyrics applet context menu screenshot

Confirm for Amarok 2.3.1, KDE 4.3.5, Mandriva 2001. This only happens with lyrics applet.
Comment 26 Myriam Schweingruber 2010-06-20 15:45:29 UTC
Nikita, no need to confirm, this is already about current git, which is ahead of released version.
Comment 27 Rick W. Chen 2010-10-24 06:15:26 UTC
I no longer experience this, seems to be fixed by qt.
Comment 28 Mikko C. 2010-10-24 07:52:09 UTC
I can confirm it's fixed
Comment 29 Alexander Potashev 2010-10-24 08:29:13 UTC
The bug still exists in the Video Clip applet: the menu appears incorrectly if you click right mouse button on a video thumbnail.

I have today's build of Amarok, Qt 4.7.0 RC1.
Comment 30 Mikko C. 2010-10-24 08:33:17 UTC
You're right, it does that in videoclip applet.
Re-re-opening :D
Comment 31 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-06-04 11:47:44 UTC
This is an automated message from the triager:

Amarok 2.4.1 has been released on May 8 already. Could you please upgrade and test if you can still reproduce this bug?

Without feedback within a month we will close this bug as resolved.

Thank you for your understanding.
Comment 32 Cyril Brosch 2011-06-04 11:51:10 UTC
I can't reproduce it with 2.4.1 (KDE SC 4.6.3, Qt 4.7.3), fixed for me.
Comment 33 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-06-04 12:06:31 UTC
Thank you for the fast feedback :)
Comment 34 Alexander Potashev 2011-06-04 14:53:37 UTC
Still happens with 2.4.1. At least "Videoclip" (click RMB on thumbnail for a youtube video) and "Labels" (click RMB on the text input field) applets are affected.
Comment 35 Cyril Brosch 2011-06-04 14:59:10 UTC
Oh hell, yes, but just when I click on the thumbnail, not elsewhere.
And have a look at the graphical glitch in the corners, something's totally wrong here: http://www.cyrilbrosch.net/video-applet.png
Comment 36 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-06-04 16:13:02 UTC
Confirmed on latest Amarok 2.4-git as well for the video applet. I can't see any problems with the Labels applet though.
Comment 37 Alexander Potashev 2011-06-04 17:03:15 UTC
This is not a regression, the context menus have never worked well.

Labels applet
Comment 39 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-06-04 18:26:28 UTC
I can reproduce it now, but I had to reduce the width to see that. Changing back to the general ContextView component.
Comment 40 Myriam Schweingruber 2012-01-03 11:31:51 UTC
Changing bug importance. This is only reproducible with a very narrow width for the Context View.
Comment 41 Mayank Madan 2012-11-30 13:04:15 UTC
Cannot reproduce it at all.
Comment 42 Myriam Schweingruber 2012-12-02 09:16:23 UTC
This is indeed foxed since quite some time.
