OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

When clicking on KDE start menu (simple layout), KDE menu crashes plasma. It occurs in 95% clicks on this menu. If you click it two or three times, plasma will restart each time, but if you click on it once again KDE4 will crash, not showing the crash debug dialog, showing wallpaper from KDM and leaving open only programs that are not from KDE4. Then only restarting X server helps.

Hi, can you provide a backtrace with the debug symbols enabled? Read this page for more informations:

http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

Moreover you should paste the baktrace directly on the bug comment instead of attach it :-)

Thanks a lot!

almost certainly the same bug as 172670; the two plasmoids use most of the same code internally and the crash is nigh identical.
