It occurs in 95% clicks on this menu. If you click it two or three times, plasma will restart each time, but if you click on it once again KDE4 will crash, not showing the crash debug dialog, showing wallpaper from KDM and leaving open only programs that are not from KDE4. Then only restarting X server helps.

almost certainly the same bug as 172670; the two plasmoids use most of the same code internally and the crash is nigh identical. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 172670 ***
