Version: (using KDE 4.1.2) OS: Linux Installed from: SuSE RPMs kget seems to not follows proxy settings. Every time I try to download a file with kget it instantly receive the "delayed" status. The proxy server (authenticated squid) do not receive the requisition from kget. I don't know if there's any relation with bug 155707, but all other applications are working well with the auth proxy, except kget...
Not even a confirmation? It is still not working o KDE4.2 + QT 4.5 on Opensuse 11.0
Does it work without Proxy? Does it work when you disable the MultiSegKIO-Plugin? Sorry, but all Proxy stuff is not implemented in KGet nor I can reproduce any Delayed-Status... Lukas
I'am unable to test without proxy, because the firewall onthe server blocks direct requisitions on port 80 (who would use the proxy if it was optional? ;-) ) How and where to disable the MultiSegKIO-Plugin to test it?
Settings Dialog -> Plugins -> uncheck the MultiSegKIO checkbox... Lukas
Edit: This 4.2 only though... In 4.1 you need to to go the MultiSegKIO-Config-Dialog and set the number of threads to 1... Lukas
No changes enabling or disabling MultiSegKIO-Plugin... Not working yet on KDE4.2.1 on OpenSuse 11.1
Oops tested again after restarting application and it's working now with the MultiSegKIO disabled. I think that desabling this plugin by default would be a good ideia, since an auth proxy is not difficult to find...
Well, it is not a bug about proxies, but imo a distro- or config-specific bug. MultiSegKIO doesn't work for you even if you don't use a proxy! For me it all should work correctly, at least without proxy it does. :) Lukas
Hi Can you please send the debug messages when you run kget from console. i dont think that proxy issues are on multisegkio code. it use KIO framwork so there is no proxy code on multisegkio. any way send us the debug info thanks in advance Manolito
