Version: (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources The Ctrl+Alt+S shortcut is defined for Yakuake and Juk. If I tried to use it in Yakuake, I have got this error message: The key sequence 'Ctrl+Alt+S' is ambiguous. Use 'Configure Shortcuts' from the 'Settings' menu to solve the ambiguouity. No action will be triggered. As I'm not user of Juk, I tried to disable this shortcut in systemsettings/Keyboard and Mouse/Global Keyboard Shortcuts component Juk. But even if the shortcut was disabled, the Ctrl+Alt+S in Yakuake still produced an error above. Plus I'm not be able to return back the Ctrl+Alt+S to Juk, because I have got an another error: The 'Ctrl+Alt+S' key combination has already been allocated to the global action "Za&stavit" in JuK. Do you want to reassign it from that action to the current one? But the action was not assigned. Note: the Czech term "Zastavit" means Stop.
BTW: I use a KDE:KDE4:UNSTABLE repository - the svn snapshots
The problem is still here. Dialog just says - there's ambiguous shortcut, but don't provide any useful information what's wrong and how to fix it.
Hi, i have the same problem reported with: yakuake-2.9.4 kde-4.2
Same problem, kubuntu jaunty with KDE 4.2.0. I don't even have juk installed... Looking through the keyboard shortcuts panel, I cannot find any other app which has this shortcut defined. I also can't use "Ctrl-Shift-Left/Right" shortcuts.
I'm seeing something similar with KDE 4.2.0 in Fedora 10. Kate won't let me press Ctrl+S to save a file sometimes. I have no idea what is causing the ambiguous shortcut message.
Confirmed in Ubuntu Intrepid with the experimental KDE 4.2.1 packages. I too do not have JuK installed. (As a separate problem, could the dialog actually tell us what shortcut is causing the conflict? It would be useful to know.)
Still in 4.3.0 final. BTW: is there any reason to have this bug UNCONFIRMED? Four other confirmed this problem.
Still in KDE 4.5 beta 1 here.
Still in KDE 4.9.5 . ArchLinux.
