Description Daniel Hahler 2008-11-05 20:34:13 UTC
Version: 1.94 (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

I'm listening to psyradio*fm chillchannel, where "String Theories" - "String Theories" gets played.

Amarok 2 submitted/scrobbled the track, but not using the Artist/Title, as it gets displayed correctly in Amarok, but with empty artist and "Stream ..." as title:

  HTTP POST: "post.audioscrobbler.com/np_1.2&a=&t=Stream%20%28http%3A%2F%2Fstreamer.psyradio.org%3A8020%2F%29&b=&l=0&n=0&m="
  "OK"

Therefore, lastfm seems to correctly dismiss this information: it does not appear in my list of played tracks.

The location of the stream is:
http://streamer.psyradio.org:8020/

Please note that scrobbling lastfm streams itself works correctly.

As a sidenote (another bug): the "Current Track Info" applet does not get updated, when the track changes (but the playlist entry gets updated with the new title).
If I remove the "Current Track Info" applet and re-add it, the correct artist/title gets displayed.

Ah ok, I had already been wondering why scrobbling of Shoutcast streams does not work.

We'll look into it.

markey---did your shoutcast fixes fix this?

also, note to daniel: your log isn't actually the scrobbling log, but just the "now playing" notification to last.fm. still, something was broken there :P

@Leo: No, I didn't change anything. So the problem (the one we had talked about on IRC) should still be there.

SVN now scrobbles all (even shoutcast) streams. however, we could use a better parser for metadata, as sometimes streams include garbage intheir artist/title info.

however, the root cause of this bug is resolved so i'm closing.
