Description doc.evans 2008-11-01 18:43:32 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

This seems similar to bugs 162656 and 161894, but not exactly the same. And those say that they are resolved, whereas this report pertains to intrepid, which was released only two days ago.

In 64-bit intrepid, some icons in the systray are painted on top of another icon.

I have a screenshot of the problem, but I don't see a way here to upload a file :-(

Anyway, it seems like the background of icons in the systray sometimes, instead of being blank, are being constructed from other icons elsewhere in the panel (not necessarily from other icons in the systray).

Here is the screenshot showing the problem.

The kmix icon seems to have a background build from the Device Notifier plasmoid (even though the Device Notifier is a distinct plasmoid, separate from the systray).
