Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

For certain files (in my case I think the documents were scanned directly to pdf on a stand-alone copier device) cannot print, because kprinter prints them in landscape mode in a messed-up way. 

The landscape/portrait format selectio on the print dialog is disabled.

Acrobat reader 8.1 prints the document w/o problems.

KDEPrint is obsolete, unmaintained and will never be revived.  Closing all open bugs.
