Version: (using KDE 4.1.2) remote controller: height and screen edge looks like sticky actions but they are not Well, I prefer to have them sticky, but in general -- either make those actions sticky (click, action, click) or non-sticky (press&hold, action, release) and then do not display action cursor before any action. Or do both (so sticky mode is missing). Since both UI are implemented in KDE (sticky and non-sticky) it is crucial to have clear visual feedback for those modes.
In KDE 4.2 (and already in trunk) both height/edge controls are buttons that are "press&hold, action, release" type buttons.
actually, this bug is valid. we should also have a "click, move, click" (or "sticky click" as Maciej sometimes refers to it as) mode for these kinds of buttons. it's rather useful and more natural on touch screens anyways.

what is the status of this bug? should it be marked as a wishlist now? closed? kept open?
Still valid. Should probably be a wishlist though.
FYI, bug 186739 is related to this.
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
