Version: (using KDE 4.1.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Some icons when selected in the menu column on the left of the screen (Summary, Mail, Contacts, Calendar etc.) seems to shift the positioning of certain elements of the window. The icons in question are: Calendar and Feeds It seems like the toolbar for each of the 2 icon selections above seem to show up as larger than the rest of them. In turn this distorts the icon menu a little. I feel it would be good if when they are both selected that the icon menu stays put like the rest of them do when they are selected probably by shortening the toolbar height by default a little.

Yes, I noticed this issue too. Icons index seems to be shift. See in the attachment.

Hugo, any clue about that ?
Does it behave differently if another style is used ? To know if this is a style issue or an app issue. (try e.g. kontact -style plastique) I'll try reproduce on my side.
ok. To be honest, I'm not sure I understand the issue, neither from the text nor the screenshots of comments #1 and #2. So ... some questions for me to understand:) - is the aforementioned shift along the horizontal axis, or the vertical axis ? - does it concern the toolbar, located between the menu and the main window content (including vertical side bar) ?
... or are you talking about the vertical margins between the vertical side bar, and the window body (e.g. contents) ? If this is the case, it is likely due to inconsistent margin handling between the various applications wrapped into kontact (e.g. akregator, kmail, etc.)
No feedback. Let's close this report. I can't reproduce and all the modules have a setMargin(0) now
