Version: (using KDE 3.5.9) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages I'm attempting to send images via email using kipi-plugins from within Digikam. The sendimages plugin (Image -> Email images...) dialogue provides options to send images in either PNG or JPG formats. Selecting PNG images as input for the plugin, and setting "JPEG" for the output image file format still produces a PNG image. That is, requested conversion doesn't happen. Expected result: plugin should convert image to JPG if requested by user.
This file still valid using kipi-plugins 0.1.6 (KDE3) or 0.2.0 (KDE4) Gilles Caulier
Gilles, This bug is still valid on my system (KDE3 on Debian testing). But I'm a bit confused. My system reports that installed version of kipi-plugins is "0.1.7-2". (See here: http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=kipi-plugins ) But kipi-plugins website shows last version for KDE is 0.1.6.... I don't have access to KDE4 so can't test 0.2.0 - sorry.
I just tested it with kipi-plugins 0.3.0 (and SVN), works fine here. Unfortunately I'm not able to test the KDE3 version anymore here. Hmmm I guess I need to do some regression tests later on, so I will probably install KDE3 again. I will see if the old kipi-plugins for KDE3 are working, too. Andi
as it works on KDE4 ( i tested and it works perfectly too ) and that no new digikam version is planned for kde3 i think that we can close this bugreport. are you OK ?
Fine with me. I'll mark as Resolved//Fixed as it is fixed in the KDE4 version.
Yes KDE3 is down now. Gilles
Problem is not reproducible with the Send by email tool from digiKam core 5.7.0
