Description Jaime Davila 2008-10-18 16:19:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.10)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

After upgrading to kde 3.5.10 on ubuntu 8.04 via adept manager, kontact crashes on startup, as soon as I hover the mouse over it.

Program was working correctly under 3.5.9

Here is what I get on the backtrace tab of the crash handler.

May this be related/duplicate of bug 171820 ?
Comment 3 Jaime Davila 2009-01-08 18:30:52 UTC
At least in my original report of this bug, the problem was not directly tied to the fish protocol, since I don't use it. The remote calendars I connect to use the webdav protocol.

Doing some trials after seeing this post, it seems like the problem occurs only if I authenticate to the server. That is, if I do not enter my user name and password when kontact asks me for it, I can use the calendar (with possibly outdated information, of course). Only once I authenticate with the calendar server to I get the crashes I originally reported.
