Description tony 2008-10-12 15:58:33 UTC
Version: 1.10.1 (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

A useful enhancement to the already excellent Kmail would be if it were possible to add manual filter buttons to external message windows as well as to the main window. Ideally (from my point of view) applying the filter would also close the window, though it may be better to allow users to configure this behaviour themselves.

The rationale behind this is as follows.
When I have finished reading an email, and don't want to keep it in the inbox, rather than deleting it, I move it to a ClassifiedHam directory, which I use to train Spamassassin. If a spam has got through, then I move it to a ClassifiedSpam directory and also run an external script so that Spamassassin knows about the message it let through. At present, I can do this with filter buttons on the main window, but can't do this if I open messages in separate windows, which is a better practice than using the preview window.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
