Description Dror Levin 2008-10-11 18:35:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Knode panes are not dockable anymore (they were in kde 3.5.10), meaning I cannot put them side by side, for example.

I think this is because the KDockWidget was removed from KDE4, and despite promises of a replacement it didn't seem to arrive.

That said, there should still be some way of changing the layout - for example, in Pan you can't dock the panels wherever you like, but you can choose the layout in the settings dialog. Personally, I'm only in a few groups, so having the list of groups take up the entire left side is a bit of a waste of space.

There is QDockWidget. (I'm writing because one of our visitors at the CeBIT booth really needs this feature back.)

Because it's a regression, I would like to change the severity from "wishlist" to "normal".

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
