Version: 4.1.2 (using KDE 4.1.2) Compiler: GCC 4.3.1 OS: Linux Installed from: Gentoo Packages I had a directory which contained about 10 files, 7 of them 700mb and 3 of maybe 50mb. I inadvertantly SHIFT+DEL that directory (not the contents). When the delete in progress dialog came up, I clicked Cancel (many times!!!) but the delete wasn't stopped and the directory was removed. It would of been great to stop the deletion... :-)
David, I've reassigned this issue to you, as I'm not sure whether the situation can be improved at all.
Does fixing http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=174144 have any effect on this issue? If not, will there be any progress made on this issue?
Is this still an issue in the latest stable release of KDE, v4.10.x? I am sure with the speed up fixes you pointed to in comment #2, this could have potentially gotten worse or because of the new notification system we have now this is no longer an issue. Can you please update us on whether this is still an issue for you?
