Version: 1.9.10 (using KDE 3.5.10) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages KMail will not retrieve e-mail. I'm running KMail 1.9.10, on KDE 3.5.10, in Kubuntu 8.04, amd_64, and trying to retreive from a pop server (gmail). Kmail has ran fine for the last two years, that is, until now. One minute it was fine, a few minutes later it wouldn't respond to a request to check mail (pop). There is no error message. There is no response from KMail of any kind. Nothing. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. I've un-installed KMail, several times, removed any trace of it, including the e-mail ID and configure files, and re-installed it from scratch. No joy. Each and every time the result is the same, it won't retrieve e-mail. I've checked the dependencies and they are all installed. This has to be an bug within KMail. I've done some research on the 'Net and it turns out this is a more common problem than I first thought. Trouble is, no one has the answer. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Is this still a problem for you?
Thank you for your e-mail. That was so long ago I had totally forgotten about it and I stopped using KMail many months ago. IF, IF, KMail can ever properly handle HTML mail, which is better than 90% of the e-mail I receive on a daily basis, I may consider using KMail again. Thanks, again, for your message. Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this version of Kmail has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try using the latest version of Kmail to see if your issue persists. If it does, please submit a new bug in "kmail2". Thank you!
