Description Daniel Dumitrache 2008-10-04 12:56:07 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I'm unable to scroll vertically on all gmail.com pages. After logging into gmail, mouse wheel scroll and keyboard scroll do not work. If I drag the scroll bar it's ok, and after that keyboard scrolling is working too, but still no mouse scroll, and after opening a mail the keyboard scroll is off again.

I'm accessing gmail using: https://mail.google.com/mail?ui=1

I can confirm this bug. It is still present in trunk (kde 4.1.86).

Confirmed at kde-4.2.

With KHTML I'm only able to get the so-called basic HTML version of Gmail loaded stable and for every page. (I've tried different Browser identifications Safari, Firefox and Chrome) Scrolling is no problem with this basic version. Also, using Webkit, scrolling works also with the normal version of Gmail.

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
