I don't see the report.
What widgets make Plasma crash?
Anders, please can you confirm the following points:
- you use the Configure button to set your user on Twitter (or all similar widgets with a Configure button)
- then it crashes on mouse over
- this does not happen if instead of using the Configure button you use the Settings little icon on the widget handle to set up the widget
Thanks in advance!
Comment 5 Anders Lund 2008-10-01 08:19:07 UTC
Yes, using the configure button on the side of plasma widget, it (the twitter widget, can't say for others) does not crash. Thank you.

I never thought of that thoug, since the configure button in the content part is quite loud.

I also have this bug and signaled it to Aaron. The weird thing is that it does not happen to everybody... Do you use Qt from KUbuntu? What version?
I can try to dig further if I have time. In any case thanks for your cooperation!
Comment 7 Anders Lund 2008-10-01 18:48:06 UTC
I use the packages installed by kubuntu, yes. qtconfig claims it to be 4.4.1.

Plasma Crash Report

Same issue as above. Moving the cursor over the KDETwitter widget, after the configuration, makes Plasma to crash.
Using: Kubuntu 8.04 and KDE 4.1 (libqt4-core is 4.4.1ubuntu1~hardy1~ppa1)
Comment 9 Aaron J. Seigo 2008-11-10 11:08:52 UTC
this is the clear focus chain bug, fixed upstream in Qt.
