Description Rahul Jain 2008-09-27 00:19:59 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
Compiler: gcc-4.3.1 CFLAGS="-O2 -march=prescott -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

The notification icons in the plasma system tray are messed up. Now, there are several other bug reports where users have complained of the fact that they have similar issues - yet I am filing a separate bug report simply because they can see the notification icons. In my case, all I see is several KDE Plasma icons overlapping each other in my system tray. Thus, there is no way to figure out to which application the icon belongs to - I have to point the mouse over the system tray to figure out which icon is located where. I have asked this question at the gentoo forums as well, and it seems no one else has similar issues - so it could be the case that my USE flags are not correct or something similar.
For further information, I am using the kde-testing overlay to build 4.1.1 packages.

My USE variables are as follows:
