Version: (using KDE 3.5.9) OS: Linux Installed from: Gentoo Packages When changing a bug (like adding a CC), the kde bugzilla sends out emails to other interested parties. Not only does it set the 'From' header field of those emails to the name and email-address of the person that changed the bug, but apparently also supplies this address as envelope-from, which causes immanuel.kde.org's postfix to send occuring bounces to the person that changed the bug. see below for an example (@ and . removed from email addresses): == Reporting-MTA: dns; immanuel.kde.org X-Postfix-Queue-ID: 8FF8212ED7 X-Postfix-Sender: rfc822; seb stian lechte net Arrival-Date: Fri, 19 Sep 2008 11:01:20 +0200 (CEST) Final-Recipient: rfc822; riderinvasion riderinvasion no-ip com Action: failed Status: 5.4.4 Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=riderinvasion.no-ip.com type=AAAA: Host found but no data record of requested type == Please configure the kde bugzilla to not use a foreign email-address as envelope-from. It should also not use an users address as the 'From' header in autogenerated emails. If this can not be configured, i will take this to upstream.
